(NewsNation) — After some quirks involving May’s Social Security payments, including three potential payments, scheduled payments for June should be back to normal.
Some recipients did start receiving bigger checks back in March due to the Social Security Fairness Act. This act made it so that anyone who received a public sector pension was restricted. However, when May rolled around, some recipients had still been waiting on that increase.
As of May, the agency said that complex cases that haven’t received the increase should be by November. The agency has reported more than 7.4 million people — seniors, adults and children — receive SSI benefits.
June Social Security payment schedule
If you want to know when you will receive your Social Security payment in June, you can find the agency’s retirement benefit schedule online for 2025 and 2026. The agency bases its payments on your birth date, with the following breakdown for June:
- Wednesday, June 12: Birth dates between the 1st and the 10th
- Wednesday, June 19: Birth dates between the 11th and 20th
- Wednesday, June 26: Birth dates between the 21st and 31st
Those who receive Supplemental Security Income checks won’t receive one in June. However, recipients received two in May because of how the payments landed on the calendar.
The rest of the schedule for SSI in 2025 is as follows:
- Tuesday, July 1
- Friday, August 1
- Friday, August 29
- Wednesday, October 1
- Friday, October 31
- Monday, December 1
- Wednesday, December 31
