(NewsNation) β The Social Security Administration will issue two payments to SSI beneficiaries in October.
Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries will receive their first payment Wednesday, Oct. 1, and the second on Friday, Oct. 31. The second payment is technically for November, as when the first day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, the payments are distributed on the last business day before the 1st.
If an SSI beneficiary also qualifies for Social Security benefits, they will receive three payments during October.
SSI payment schedule for the rest of 2025
Supplemental Security Income payments for the rest of the year are scheduled for:
- Wednesday, Oct. 1
- Friday, Oct. 31
- Monday, Dec. 1
- Wednesday, Dec. 31
SSI maximum benefit levels for 2025
According to the SSA, the maximum amount Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries can receive per month is $967 for an individual, $1,450 for an individual and an eligible spouse and $484 for an essential person.
These maximum benefit levels reflect a 2.5% cost-of-living adjustment for 2025.

To qualify for SSI, you must be over 65, disabled or blind, and have limited income and resources, according to the SSA.
