(NewsNation) — Early shopping hours at Costco are now available for customers who pay for the warehouse retailer’s Executive Membership.
As of June 30, the $130 annual membership allows customers to get a jump start on their shopping from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on weekdays and Sundays. Early access on Saturdays will run from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The early shopping hours are not available for https://www.kqzyfj.com/click-101419140-11167246 Star members who pay an annual fee of $65.
In addition to the early store access, members with this tier will get a $10 monthly credit to use on eligible same-day or Costco Instacart orders of $150 or more, according to the retailer’s Facebook page.
Costco Insider reports that the early access hours are aimed at increasing the value of the Executive Membership status as well as alleviating store congestion at checkout and parking.
The new early hours mark the latest schedule shift for Costco as it works to compete against retailers like Sam’s Club, Walmart and Target. In February, Costco announced it would be extending its gas station hours.
